Today was a rainy day, I started my day with a native coffee
brought to me by my sister-in-law from a town in North Cotabato. It tasted a
bit new for me coz I am used to the taste of commercial instant coffee. You can
smell the aroma of a true native coffee also with its strong taste, you'll feel
sleepy no more. With my coffee, I paired it with a rice cake dipped in brown
sugar. What a sweet and light breakfast I had on this rainy morning. Now, let's
have another cup of coffee, CHEERS!!!

Praise and Worship Team
Our church bought a new fulltone fat boost at guitar center
as an addition to our church's pool of praise and worship equipments. It has
been a good compliment to our music team especially that they are planning to
have a recording session of their praise and worship songs. Many of our church
members are excited to have a copy of the audio cd of our church praise and
worship team. Support from our pastors were overwhelming as they shouldered all
the necessary expenses that the recording will have. I'm praying that this plan
of them will push through the soonest.
All Saints
On November 1 All Saints Day, my husband's grandma is planning
to go to the cemetery and visit her husband. I remember the last time the I
spent All Saints Day at the cemetery was 4 yrs ago, I was with my cousins. People
from around the city flocked to Davao Memorial Cemetery. Many visited their
loved ones at the cemetery that day.
When going to the cemetery, you'll encounter heavy traffic
on every street that leads to it. You can see different kinds of people walking
along the street carrying chairs, food containers, sound system, etc. Most of
them will stay overnight at the cemetery with their family and friends.
Sometimes this season gives less fortunate people to earn some bucks by selling
different kinds of stuff that is useful while at the cemetery, like candles,
paper fans, caps, foods and more. This coming All Saints Day, the most
important thing to remember is we are visiting at the cemetery to pay tribute
to them that passed away ahead of us.

Let's Clean
This coming week I am planning to do a general cleaning on our
room. I noticed that our room was becoming so untidy, and it is encouraging for
mosquitoes and cockroaches to come in. I really hate those insects, sometimes
they cause harmful diseases to us. Dress, books and un-organized things inside makes
our room a mess. I decided to buy wood boxes so I can organize my things easily
and locate them right away the moment I need them. In this way, not only it
will give my room a neat look, it may also bring more space to us.
Small Scale Politics
As I woke up this morning, a certain news on the television got
my attention. It was about the upcoming local barangay election. As early as now,
still a month to go for the said event, election related crimes starts to rise.
An aspiring barangay captain was harassed on his way to filling his certificate
of candidacy at the commission on elections. A group of men threw a black paint
on his car. It was then concluded that those group of men responsible of that
incident were relatives of his opponent on the upcoming election. This news was
only one of the many election related crimes I heard. Some were so disturbing,
they even try to kill their opponent. That brings a question to my mind, it is
just a local barangay election, but then the extent of their desire was so high.
I wonder what’s behind it that pushes them to do their utmost just to have the
position? I'll leave it to them this time. Anyway, as of now all I can do is to be vigilant
on their illegal activities.
